Tomorrow is the Day!

SB1212 will be heard tomorrow (Wednesday, April 25)! It’s time to call your legislators and politely ask them to support and coauthor SB1212. There is a ton of opposition to this bill. Countless organizations have used their influence in an attempt to persuade people to contact Oklahoma representatives and law makers to vote against constitutional carry. The Daily Oklahoman and the OKC Chamber of Commerce have grossly misrepresented what is contained in the bill in order to mislead the masses and to get them to side with the anti-gunners. We’ve been told the anti-gunners are blowing up the phones at the Capitol, and we need to at least do the same. Call every representative regardless if they are Republican or Democrat—some Democrats have voted YES on OK2A bills!

For those of you making the trip to the Capitol, please meet on the 4th floor rotunda at 11:00 am. We need all hands on deck!! We need everyone to both call and email every single House Representative (listed below) and politely request they vote YES on SB1212. Keep your email message very short and to the point. It helps these legislators a great deal if you simplify the subject line in your email to say, “Vote * YES * on SB1212“.

Instead of emailing each representative one at a time, please use the list of emails below to send out one email to everyone.

Create a new email.
Select all of the email addresses below exactly how they are displayed, and paste them into the BCC: (blind carbon copy) field in the new email.
Enter your email address in the TO: field of your email.
Type a polite short, and direct email asking them to vote YES on SB1212.
Your subject line needs to read, Vote “YES” ON SB1212.

The logic behind sending an email this way is so it will appear to each representative that you sent the email only to them. Many people will not read an email which was obviously sent to a lot of people—it simply looks too much like junk or a SPAM email. Another alternative is to create a group in your address book on your computer that contain all of the email addresses below so you’ll have it for quick and easy use in the future. So, be sure to save the list of email addresses below!
