Three more OK2A request bills have been sent to Governor Fallin. Awaiting her signature are SB35, SB40, and SB397, all of which passed this Senate last week. The Governor's signature is all that is needed for these three bills to become law. We request polite, encouraging phone calls to the Governor's office on behalf of these bills. The Governor's telephone number is 405-521-2342. SB35 will allow active duty members of the military to carry a handgun using their military ID card as their license. SB40 is the "Point, Don't Shoot" bill which protects anyone who points a firearm in a self-defense scenario. In 2015, Mike Christian was the first Republican to receive an "F" rating from OK2A. For the first few years in the legislature, Mike Christian was very pro-2nd Amendment for the first few years, but then something happened. Watch the video to find out more!...
Could handguns be banned in Oklahoma? Tim Gillespie, Co-Founder of OK2A.org, explains why the Oklahoma Constitution needs to be amended to protect the right to keep and bear arms in Oklahoma.
